Levitt Pavilion Houston
Music uplifts us.
Music creates community
“When I learned the Levitt Foundation had chosen Willow Waterhole Greenway as the Houston location in July 2012, my energy was off the charts—explosive. I could barely sit still.”
—Howard Sacks, President, Levitt Pavilion Houston; Past President, Willow Waterhole Greenspace Conservancy
Coming to the Willow Waterhole Greenway—
Levitt Pavilion Houston
Strengthening the social fabric of America
The Levitt Foundation is a private family foundation whose mission is to partner with communities, activate their underused outdoor spaces, and create welcoming, inclusive music destinations.
Transforming neglected outdoor spaces
Levitt Pavilion Houston is part of a national network of outdoor Levitt music venues. These venues are managed, programmed, and supported by local Levitt Pavilions.
Collaboration, cooperation, and hard work
Friends of Levitt Pavilion Houston, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose goal is to develop the designs for the Levitt Pavilion Houston venue and to fund its construction.
The story of Levitt Pavilion Houston, linked closely with Willow Waterhole Greenway, began 2 decades ago when the development of the Greenway was initially funded.
Finally—a Levitt Pavilion for Houston!
Willow Waterhole Greenway was chosen in 2013 through a competitive process by the Levitt Foundation as the site for Levitt Pavilion Houston. Originally the site was to be on the banks of Willow Lake, just a stone’s throw from South Post Oak Road.
Our beautiful neighborhood
Levitt Pavilion Houston—an outdoor venue for live music—is an integral part of the Master Plan for the Gasmer Drive Site Redevelopment Project. The project area is contiguous to the Willow Waterhole Greenway, which is attracting more visitors as it becomes better known.
A project as bold and distinct as Levitt Pavilion Houston requires the participation and collaboration of multiple determined groups and individuals.
Building Community Through Music
The Friends of Levitt Pavilion Houston are delighted that the Willow Waterhole Greenway has been chosen by Levitt Foundation of California as its eighth Levitt Pavilion nationwide.
